Ligurian Marble in Ottoman Architecture

During the Ottoman Empire, this natural stone was used as tile-shaped cladding on the exterior walls of the Revan Pavilion in Topkapı Palace, Istanbul. Although no longer actively quarried, it remains esteemed for its historical and aesthetic value.
